What does “home” mean to you?

Wherever we are in life, we try to find ways to create a sense of home and belonging for ourselves, both internally in our psyche, and externally in the different spaces we inhabit. I have a heart for working with people who want to reestablish an emotional sense of “home” in the midst of challenging life transitions.

I can relate to people who leave home and move to a new place, or those who may not feel “at home” in their own lives. As such, I feel drawn to immigrants, people from minority groups, and those who may not identify with the larger culture and are exploring their inner and outer sense of home and belonging. My practice of cultural safety and cultural humility enables me to relate to a variety of people from many walks of life.

Trauma therapy

I am a certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapist and trauma specialist. I have a passion for helping trauma survivors process past traumas so that they are able to move forward with their lives and not feel stuck in the past. I have done four years of advanced training in a postgraduate Jungian seminar, and incorporate Jungian psychology in my clinical work.

Come home to yourself

Psychologically, “home” could be an emotional place where you experience safety, freedom, acceptance and support. Home can also mean . . .

. . . coming back to yourself, feeling a deep connection with who you are
. . . being clear about your core values and life purpose
. . . regaining your inner strength and balance amidst life’s uncertainties and demands.

I invite you to return to your inner home and true Self. If you are ready to take that first step, visit my website or call 678-582-8425 for a free consultation.

The Tortoise

To adopt a tortoise spirit is to have a long term perspective on things, to acknowledge that things take time. It also means not comparing yourself to others and focusing instead on your strengths, values, and contributions to the world. It involves thinking and reflecting carefully before acting.

More on the tortoise.
