Did you know that June 24th through July 24th is Self-Care Month? The month culminates in Self-Care Day on July 24th; this date reminds us that we can practice self-care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Self-Care Month 2024

The Oxford Dictionary defines self-care as “the practice of taking an active role in protecting one’s own well-being and happiness, in particular during periods of stress.”

Self-care goes way beyond relaxing in a bubble bath. Any activity that improves your physical and emotional health counts as self-care. Bringing fresh flowers into your home, and nourishing your body with healthy, tasty food are some great examples. And self-care doesn’t have to be practiced alone! Getting outside in nature with a companion has been shown to reduce stress and induce greater well-being. What can you do to take care of yourself today?
